Polycotton Tents

As the name suggests, polycotton tents are hybrid of polyester and cotton, combining the properties of traditional canvas tents and more modern polyester tents.

Polycotton tents are fantastic quality, but there are a couple of things to bear in mind before using them. Polycotton requires weathering before you use. This means that you need to wet the tent to allow threads in the seams to expand and fill any holes. This will decrease the chances of water seeping in when it rains.

There is also a water-repellant coating on the fabric that will last for a good while, but every so often it would be worth topping it up with some form of waterproofer.

Here at Winfields, we have a great range polycotton tents for sale from some of the biggest names in the industry. We sell Vango, Kampa and Outwell polycotton tents, so you know you’re buying only the highest quality.
