Woodside Country Park

To start, we have the incredible campsite that is Woodside Country Park, located in Herefordshire, West Midlands.

If you’re looking for a superb camping spot that welcomes campervans with open arms, this is the place for you. The campsite is spread across 25 acres of breathtaking Herefordshire woodland and countryside, with plenty of natural pleasures to explore, such as interesting trails and natural pools.

This spot is described by other outdoor enthusiasts as a large country park that offers a peaceful and partially wild nature ambiance, with excellent panoramic views of the stunning Herefordshire countryside.

Although the Woodside Country Park has a nostalgic and traditional approach to camping, their meadows still offer electrical hookup facilities, so that visitors can experience what this incredible campsite has to offer in unison – whether that be in a campervan, a pitching tent or in one of the on-site glamping pods.

The Woodside Country Park is a pet and child-friendly campsite, with large groups of outdoor enthusiasts also welcome. Their on-site facilities include laundry rooms, Wi-Fi, shower blocks, eating areas, cooking facilities, accessible facilities and a variety of outdoor activities (e.g on-site fishing spots, walking routes and wild swimming spots).

In terms of location, the Woodside Country Park is surrounded by vast greenery that’s totally worth exploring, and it’s also located just 2 miles away from country pubs and local amenities (Ledbury), should you want to venture out for a hearty meal or replenish your essentials cupboard during your stay.

Harry’s Meadow

Harry’s Meadow is perfect for those wanting to take their campervan to a ‘back to basics’ style campsite. A real treat for seasoned campers!

Of course, you’ll likely have everything you need in your motorhome or campervan, but there’s still something truly refreshing about visiting a campsite that has maintained the traditional feel of a camping holiday.

Motorhome and campervan visitors will have the best of both worlds – the comfort of their accommodation, as well as being surrounded by a very authentic and old-school style of camping. It’s also worth mentioning that this location welcomes dogs, in case you were looking to bring your four-legged friend along for the ride.

Harry’s Meadow has been described by other outdoor enthusiasts as a very spacious and peaceful campsite. Everything that surrounds Harry’s Meadow is essentially untouched nature, as the campsite is based in the heart of historic New Forest woodland, along with a vast amount of meadows and greenery nearby.

There’s even a wild swimming spot (River Avon) just 5 minutes from the campsite, along with plenty of car-free walking and hiking trails and adventurous cycling routes within close proximity. If spending time exploring the great outdoors is the main goal of your holiday, Harry’s Meadow is a superb place to set up home for the occasion.

Visitors can also expect sightings of wildlife (e.g wild deer) throughout their stay, and even a potential visit from the New Forest ponies that walk the grounds. What’s more, If a scenic drive is on the to-do list, Harry’s Meadow is located 30 minutes from the coast, with plenty of natural scenery to savour along the way.

In terms of facilities, as we mentioned earlier, Harry’s Meadow is all about offering outdoor enthusiasts a more traditional camping experience – however, that doesn’t mean that there is an absence of facilities.

Visitors will have access to shower blocks, toilet facilities, freshwater drinking stations and washing-up areas throughout their stay. Another unique aspect of staying at Harry’s Meadow is that there will be on-site pop-up style eateries available, which are always different.

Causeway Coast Holiday Park

Our next recommendation is the incredible Causeway Coast Holiday Park, set in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland. A few years ago, the Causeway Coast Holiday Park was rated one of the best places to visit by Lonely Planet, and for good reason.

The location of the holiday park alone is more than enough reason to visit this incredible natural hotspot, as outdoor enthusiasts will be totally surrounded by an abundance of natural walking and hiking trails, including the cliffs of Fairhead and Rathlin Island.

When you arrive at the Causeway Coast Holiday Park, it isn’t unusual for first-time guests to be blown away by the surroundings, as the campsite offers panoramic views of the ocean, overlooking the sandy beach of the scenic seaside town, Ballycastle.

Outdoor enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to experience one of the seven wonders of the world, as the campsite is just a 20-minute drive from the Giants Causeway – an absolute nonnegotiable for anyone visiting this superb campsite.

The Causeway Coast Holiday Park offers a variety of touring pitches that are greatly suited to caravans, campervans and motorhomes alike. All touring pitches are on level grass and offer visitors access to personal waste disposal facilities, along with freshwater points.

Ben Nevis Holiday Park

Last, but certainly not least, we have the superb Ben Nevis Holiday Park, located in the Highlands of Scotland. The Ben Nevis Holiday Park is an extremely well-maintained campsite that warmly welcomes motorhomes and campervans.
