This honour, organised by the Official Camping Awards, is an incredible achievement for us (and you!), and we’re blown away by the fantastic support we’ve received from everyone within the industry that’s named us as the best independent camping equipment retailer in the UK.
At Winfields Outdoors, we’ve always prided ourselves on offering a fantastic range of tents, outdoor clothing and camping essentials – basically anything to get you up and enjoying the great outdoors.
This award means a lot to us, because it’s confirmation that we’re on the right track, and recognition that all of our hard work to become a top tier camping equipment retailer is paying off.
Out & About Camping are a trusted voice for campers and outdoor aficionados up and down the UK. And their Official Camping awards are one of the most important achievements in the UK camping industry.
Alongside the tent award categories, which are put under rigorous testing by their camping team, there are several awards which are put to public vote. Like they say, “no one knows more about camping than campers” – and you came out in droves to have your say about which camping retailers, campsites, and tent brands are the best.
Best Independent Retailer of the Year is a public category, which means we absolutely couldn’t have gotten to where we are today without the support of you, our loyal customers.
It was hard to find the right words to express how overwhelmingly proud we feel, but in the end we could only be honest. We’re immensely grateful to all of you who voted, and would like to publicly state our appreciation to our customers far and wide. Without you, and your continued support of independent camping retailers, we wouldn’t have this award. And, it truly means a lot to our whole team.
Of course, achieving this award is just another step on our journey as the UK’s top independent camping retailer. We’re always looking for ways to improve and grow, and to offer you the best service and camping supplies you need to explore the world around you.
With this in mind, we can say that we have some big plans for the future, starting with some exciting things for 2024.
But, even with the amazing things we have in the pipeline, we’ll always remain true to our original goals: to provide our customers with the service and products you love, so you can continue to enjoy your hobbies and create memories with your loved ones.
